Summary:This work exposes a reflection on the contribution of Graphic Design, mainly the Editorial Design, to the communicative objectives of the Audiovisual Resources Museum Collection of the Faculty of Social Communication of the Autonoma de Occidente University. This reflection is materialized on the basis of a design proposal for a book that systematizes not only the technical and cultural wealth of this collection, but also in the history of social communication in Cali at the end of the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st . which is equivalent to the contribution of the University to the city and the region. Thus, Graphic Design is consolidated as a transversal discipline in the processes of institutional social responsibility
