Summary:The machines of numerical control computerized (CNC) at present are essential at industrial level for the elaboration of molds and pieces due to his processes of mechanized. Thanks to the CNC machines, a computer is in charge of controlling the speed and position of the motors that generate greater precision and quality in the manufacture of the parts, thus it is a key factor for companies to acquire these manufacturing technologies. The company Industrias Rinar S.A.S has a CNC Handyman 1270 machine with three main axes X, Y, Z. There was the development of the design of a room that can be connected to the machining center in order to give a more free the Handyman 1270 machine, to generate more complex molds and pieces. For the development of the design of the Handyman 1270 machine room, the concurrent design methodology with the following stages: •Investigation •Identification of the parts and components •Identification of control circuits and communication protocol •Design and evaluation of the fourth axis solution alternatives. With the previous stages, three solutions can be made for which all the parts were analyzed and evaluated with the criteria and specific needs of the company and the operators that are used directly with the machine to choose the most complete solution which can be communicate with the operator through the MasterCam software. The company was very interested in the development of the project because it seeks to improve its production times with the help of the fourth axis, resulting in the design of more complex molds and pieces, generating productivity and economic benefits
