Este documento se basa en los trabajos de autores anteriores que se centran en el papel de la mujer trabajadora en el Japón moderno para establecer el "punto final" de esta investigación. El presente documento también incluye el contexto histórico a partir del cual se originaron las normas patriarcales tradicionales. Además, examina el desarrollo y la influencia de estos valores en las siguientes etapas de la vida de las mujeres: el matrimonio, la maternidad y la participación en la fuerza laboral.
