The present study follows the life story method, little applied to research in administration sciences. In this procedural decision lies the innovative character and the heuristic force of the approach followed.Este artículo busca precisar cuáles fueron los factores que permitieron a una mujer mexicana de origen campesino, con estudios incompletos de educación primaria, llegar a ser una emprendedora exitosa. El tema medular del artículo trata pues de la formación no universitaria de esta mujer emprendedora, de las dificultades que experimentó para lograr ser emprendedora y de los factores que contribuyeron a alcanzar su meta. El presente estudio sigue el método del relato de vida, poco aplicado a la investigación en ciencias de la administración.
