To estimate the duration of their projects they use the Function Points technique to measure the size of the application and, subsequently, apply different techniques for estimating the duration to plan their projects.Este artículo describe una metodología para estimar y planificar proyectos de software y la experiencia en el proceso de estimación, con estudiantes del curso Ingeniería de software del programa de pregrado de la Escuela de computación en la universidad de Costa Rica. En él los estudiantes aprenden metodologías, técnicas y herramientas de ingeniería de software y desarrollan un proyecto práctico.
