The introduction and justification of this issue, is followed by the examination of relevant definitions and meaningful trends. Afterwards, some critics to management are discussed alongside the corresponding contributions derived from human ageing. Particularly, ideas are proposed to neutralize administrative fads, to humanize organizations, and to introduce more freedom. Finally, some specific applications are directed to enrich the field of management education with the potential offered by the elders.Este artículo propone varias formas novedosas mediante las cuales el fenómeno del envejecimiento humano puede utilizarse para provocar cambios positivos en la administración y su enseñanza, mediante su sensibilización y reconocimiento. Luego de introducir la problemática y su justificación, se examinan las definiciones y tendencias demográficas más relevantes del envejecimiento. Posteriormente, se discuten algunas críticas a la administración y se formulan contribuciones potenciales inspiradas en la vejez para neutralizar las modas administrativas, así como para humanizar e introducir más libertad en las organizaciones.
