Summary: | This article seeks to explore business opportunities, as well as expand the vision of China as a potential market for Colombian coffee. This publication is part of the dissemination of the research results of the Asia Pacific Research Seedbed in 2014 and will be divided into two parts. The article in this edition includes an analysis of the importance of the economy of this Asian country, of its hot drinks market, its coffee production and imports of this product. The article will continue in the seventh edition of this magazine, where the main trends of the Chinese consumer will be exhibited; and two models (e-commerce and manufacturing) for the successful penetration of Colombian coffee in the Chinese market. Also in this extension an analysis of the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats will be carried out to evaluate the possibilities of achieving a better positioning of Colombian coffee in that market. |
