Description
Summary:The Patronato Colombiano de Artes y Ciencias keeps in its facilities the musical production of five of the most important Colombian symphonic composers of the twentieth century and works of many others of the twentieth and twenty-first. Within its collection, various musical trends are present, among which we highlight the symphonic works created on indigenous themes. Most of these works are still unpublished. This article presents a general look at the indigenist orchestral content of these archives and proposes a perspective that invites us to assess the information that the peculiarities of our musical and archival context accidentally bring to the documents.
