Within agriculture, industry 4.0 has gained weight and has been more present in crop processes, improving production efficiency than it has been with rice production. In Japan, the production of this is highly promoted in the search for new technologies to increase the efficiency of the process, giving us greater production of rice per hectare, the opposite being the one that can be observed in Colombia. This article makes an analysis of the conditions of both countries for a transfer of technologies between them, speaking not only of material conditions, but also of history and social conditions.La industria 4.0, con mayor aplicación en los países más desarrollo, es relevante en el mundo tecnológico de hoy y se ha convertido en un pilar significativo para la búsqueda del crecimiento en los procesos. También en la agricultura esta forma de industria ha tomado peso, y está más presente en los procesos de cultivos, mejorando la eficiencia en la producción de diversos cultivos, entre ellos el arroz. En Japón la producción de arroz cuenta con nuevas tecnologías que aumentan la eficiencia, lo que les ha permitido tener mayor producción de cereal por hectárea; esto es contrario a lo que sucede en Colombia, donde solo se producen 3.076 toneladas anuales.
