The analysis is based on three relevant productions in the Chilean music-poetry scene: the musicalisation of the poem Alturas de Macchu Picchu by Pablo Neruda performed by Los Jaivas (1981), the album Desiertos de amor (2011) by Raúl Zurita with the group González y Los Asistentes, and the musicalization of poems by Elicura Chihuailaf that the group Kalfu performs in their album Trawvn = ReUnión (2017). Overall, the study roposes that poetry musicalisations constitute a contribution to literary studies, as they allow for a broadening of the perspectives of analysis beyond the textual, which favors a deeper understanding of the particularities of poetic production.
