The probability that a newly created company closes its activities in a period less than or equal to 3 years is 4 %, and the life expectancy of a newly created company is 14.27 years.La dinámica empresarial del sector de manufactura de Ecuador se abordó a través del estudio de la demografía empresarial de 118 años. Para el cálculo de probabilidades de supervivencia se realizó una tabla de mortalidad. El 37,74 % de las empresas se mantienen activas, el 89,07 % de las cerradas son micro y pequeñas empresas.
