Summary: | This article seeks to explore business opportunities, as well as expand the vision of China as a potential market for Colombian coffee. This publication is part of the dissemination of the research results of the Asia Pacific Research Seedbed in 2014, which was divided into two parts. The first part, published in the last edition, included an analysis of China's economy, its hot beverage market, its coffee production and imports of that product. In this second part, the main trends of the Chinese consumer are exposed, as well as two models (e-commerce and manufacturing) for the successful penetration of Colombian coffee in the Chinese market. This document also carries out a DOFA analysis (weaknesses, opportunities, strengths and threats) to evaluate the possibilities of achieving a better positioning of Colombian coffee in that market. |
