Contribution that is defined in the terms that establish the so-called cognitive-enactive musical semiotics, gestures and performance studies, to determine the participation of the body, and especially of the corporeality inherent in the execution, as an instance of significance and, to at the same time, vehicle of communication of the musical meaning built.Durante el siglo XIX, las figuras del compositor y del intérprete musical se escindieron, dando origen a diversas posturas acerca de los alcances del papel del ejecutante, así como sobre la concepción de la obra musical y de la partitura como su equivalente gráfico. Este artículo revisa varias de ellas en las que, no obstante, encuentra un elemento común que todas reconocen: el aporte “inevitable” del ejecutante.
