The document contributes to the limited literature that quantitatively analyses the role of Chinese multinationals in reducing poverty.El objetivo del presente trabajo fue determinar el efecto que tienen las empresas multinacionales chinas en la reducción de la pobreza en un grupo de 36 países de ingreso alto y medio-alto en los que operaron en el periodo 2009-2018. Se emplea una metodología econométrica de datos de panel dinámica. Se encuentra que estas multinacionales influyen positivamente en la reducción de la pobreza. En consecuencia, pueden ser consideradas como un mecanismo central de la dinámica global de la pobreza.
