Evaluacón de las tecnologías NFC y beacons en el desarrollo de aplicaciones móviles para MICE en turismo

This document presents an analysis and implementation of a system, for the deployment of events in the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) category, to answer the question: how can NFC (Near Field Communication), Beacons and applications contribute for the development of tourism in the MICE category? First, an analysis was made of the applications that are currently on the market and an extraction of the most relevant characteristics; then, we de ned the functionalities for our service, and nally we o ered a performance test in a MICE event, the seventh Seminar on Emerging Technologies in Telecommunications \ TET 2016 " developed in Popayán, Colombia whose results of the experience are analyzed; Then a second prototype was made, which is an events generator, this was tested with a specialized group in tourism. The use of NFC and Beacons technologies with a mobile application improve the experience for the attendees (end user) and organizers in MICE events. IV
