It is a methodology based on statistic processes control generating a culture of: improving constantly, focus on the customer. Eliminate re – processes and restructure them, have a statistic control of the processes and pick up profits. The authorization of LATINCO S.A (road infrastructure company) was very important to develop a pilot prove in any of their processes. The pilot prove was developed in the crushing machine process because the importance of the final product in the asphalt mix production. It means, the final product is vital to the construction of a road. To start the pilot prove, the construction site were visited many times where the crushing machine was and the process could be appreciated and besides, listening the worries from the people that work with the process. The opportunity to listen the people who built the machines was useful to understand the operative and technical fundamentals of the plants. From these meetings were born doubts and necessities that had to be fixed: lack of knowledge of the material to be processed, lack of preventive maintenance, bad stock of provisions and deficiency on the historic record of the bad performance of the plant. The SIX SIGMA had to be started to improve the production and fulfill the necessities told for the experts. For the lack of knowledge in the material to be processed petrography essays were done that gave chemical and physical conditions of the material, for the lack of preventive maintenance, the machines’ catalogs were studied (cone y crushing machine) and daily control and horary formats were developed, for the bad stock of provisions, the plant engineer said what kind of provisions were needed and for the bad historic record a statistic analysis were done in the months of July and August creating and starting the data base for the company. When all the implementations were realized, a meeting with the engineer in charge of the plant showed his satisfaction for the results that were obtained and the notable improves: increase of the production, historic records formats, preventive maintenance formats for the care of the machine and generate the culture of the importance to know what kind of material it’s going to be processed helping futures acquisitions.RESUMEN: El proyecto desarrollado es SIX SIGMA en empresas de infraestructura vial. Es una metodología basada en el control estadístico de procesos que se caracteriza por generar una cultura de: continua mejora, orientación al cliente, eliminar re procesos y reestructurarlos, llevar un control estadístico de los procesos y aumentar utilidades. Se contó con la autorización de LATINCO S.A (compañía de infraestructura vial) para realizar una prueba piloto en cualquiera de sus procesos, se analizaron y se tomó la decisión de hacerla en producción de agregados pétreos por la importancia del producto final para la producción de mezcla asfáltica y el resto de la estructura de pavimento (sub base y base). Productos esenciales para la construcción de una vía. Para empezar la prueba piloto, se visitó la obra varias veces donde estaba la planta de trituración y se pudo ver el proceso y además escuchar las falencias de éste con los encargados de su operación: operador de planta, ingeniero de planta, laboratorista y ayudantes; también se recibió una capacitación por parte de los fabricantes de la máquina entendiendo sus fundamentos técnicos y operativos. De estas reuniones surgieron preocupaciones y necesidades que son las que se debían corregir: falta de conocimiento del material a triturar, falta de mantenimientos preventivos, stock de repuestos y deficiencia en el registro histórico fallas en el equipo. El SIX SIGMA debía ser puesto en marcha para mejorar la producción y suplir las necesidades manifestadas por los expertos. Para la falta de conocimiento del material a triturar se realizaron ensayos de petrografía que arroja condiciones químicas y físicas del agregado pétreo, para la falta de mantenimientos preventivos, se tomaron los catálogos de la máquina (cono y trituradora) y se elaboraron formatos de control con frecuencia diaria y horaria, para el stock de repuestos se consultó el ingeniero de planta qué repuestos debían cotizarse y se cotizaron y para la deficiencia en el registro histórico se hizo un análisis estadístico para los meses de julio y agosto iniciando la base de datos para el proceso.
