Es en este punto cuando los empresarios deben considerar la decisión de implementar en sus organizaciones un modelo de Gobernabilidad de TI que se puede implementar basados en un estándar como COBIT para cumplir este objetivo. El modelo de Gobernabilidad permitirá la optimización del manejo de los recursos informáticos, y la toma de decisiones basándose en las metas de negocio, y entre otros beneficios permitirá dar seguimiento a los beneficios generados tras la inversión en dichos recursos. Para la realización del presente trabajo se analizó la situación respecto a si se tiene implementado o no un modelo de Gobierno de TI, en una muestra de organizaciones colombianas del sector terciario de la economía, Comercial y de Servicios, más específicamente en empresas del sector financiero y de servicios públicos, y del sector secundario de la economía, Manufacturero o Industrial. Con los resultados de esta encuesta se identificaron los problemas que se pueden presentar en una organización en el proceso de implementación de un modelo de Gobierno de TI, impactos en los objetivos de negocio, entre otros, permitiendo identificar aspectos claves que al final del presente trabajo ayudarán en la elaboración de un procedimiento para que la Gobernabilidad de las Tecnologías de Información se acople al Gobierno Corporativo permitiendo desde el área de tecnología el apoyo a la gestión de toma de decisiones de las compañías.Abstract:Currently, there is an increasing need in organizations of the information technologies as a way to achieve their needs and business goals, but when there is an increase of IT assets, including the information, it should be clear what should be done and where they must work to keep track of this growth and optimize the decision-making of technology investments. At this point, the employers must consider the decision to implement an IT governance model in their organizations, which can be implemented based on a standard such as COBIT to achieve their objectives. A Governance model will allow the optimization of the informatics resources management and the decision-making basing on the business goals, and among other benefits, will allow following up the profits after investing in those resources. To do this work, there was an analysis in a sample of Colombian organizations to know if they already have or not an IT governance model. The organizations belong to the tertiary sector of economy, Services and Commerce, specifically to the financial and public services sector, and to the secondary sector of economy, Industrial or Manufacture.
