Para ampliar sus posibilidades de ayuda, la Fundación ha desarrollado diferentes programas de generación de recursos, de la mano con Almacenes Éxito y sus cadenas Éxito, Ley y Pomona, tales como la donación de averías a los Bancos de Alimentos, Reciclaje y Goticas. La falta de un esquema de seguimiento y control adecuado sobre los procesos y procedimientos, llevados a cabo en los almacenes en el desarrollo de estos programas, imposibilitan la optimización y maximización de los recursos, dando lugar a la generación de desperdicios en la operación que con un adecuado manejo podrían convertirse en mayores beneficios a la comunidad. Para mejorar la situación expuesta, la Fundación Éxito a través de su director, encargó a las autoras del presente trabajo para realizar la identificación de los aspectos críticos en los programas anteriormente enunciados, la verificación del cumplimiento de los procesos y procedimientos estipulados y el establecimiento de propuestas de mejoramiento a los programas. El trabajo desarrollado incluyó el diagnóstico de cada uno de los programas en los almacenes, donde se concluyó que el programa de donación de frutas y verduras a los Bancos de Alimentos presenta un considerable porcentaje de desperdicio por la alta manipulación y duración del proceso. En cuanto al programa de Reciclaje, la separación de residuos en la fuente necesita de especial atención por parte tanto de los empleados como de los clientes, para dar un mejor aprovechamiento a los materiales que permita generar mayores recursos en beneficio de las comunidades atendidas por la Fundación. Con respecto al programa Goticas, se evidenció que a pesar del impacto en la comunidad que se ha logrado, hace falta una comunicación efectiva de los resultados de esta buena causa. Así mismo, se presentan las estrategias diseñadas para dar solución a las inconsistencias que se detectaron en el diagnóstico, mediante la estandarización de las actividades en todos los almacenes, la capacitación del personal encargado de los programas y la comunicación efectiva de la labor social de Fundación Exito, a los clientes y a la comunidad en general, que genere confianza, credibilidad y fortalezca la imagen de la Fundación y la Compañía en el medio.ABSTRACT: Fundación Exito is a non-profit association, which aims for the improvement of the life conditions from the most needed people of the country, centering its efforts towards the children nutrition and education. In order to extend its possibilities of aid, the Foundation has developed different programs for generating resources with Almacenes Exito and its retail stores Exito, Ley and Pomona, such as the donation of damaged merchandise to the Food Banks, the recycling program and the Goticas program. The lack of a proper scheme of pursuit and control on the processes and procedures, carried out in the stores in the development of these programs, hinders the optimization and maximization of the resources, giving place to the generation of wastes in the operation. In order to improve the exposed situation, Fundación Exito through its director, entrusted the authors of the present work, to make the identification of the critical aspects in the programs previously enunciated, the verification of the fulfillment of the processes and procedures stipulated by the Company and the establishment of proposals for upgrading the programs. The developed work included the diagnosis of each one of the programs in the stores, where it concluded that the donation of fruits and vegetables to the Food Banks presents a considerable percentage of waste caused by the high manipulation and duration of the process. In relation to the program of Recycling, the separation of residues in the source needs special attention from employees and clients, to give a higher profit to the materials for generating greater resources in benefit of the communities assisted by the Foundation. Regarding the Goticas Program, it was seen that in spite of the impact in the community that has been obtained, it is necessary an effective communication of the results of this good cause.
