Las prótesis comerciales disponibles en la actualidad, incluso las más avanzadas, tan solo proveen flexión activa restringida a dos o tres articulaciones. Aunque este sistema es de gran ayuda para el amputado de la extremidad distal superior, se aleja exorbitantemente de generar muchas de las funciones de la mano real, motivo por el cual, trabajos que buscan crear una estructura que se acerque a la mano real son de gran importancia para la comunidad científica. En busca de construir una mano que se acerque a tal destreza, fue necesario recurrir al uso de materiales de SMA (Aleaciones con Memoria de Forma). Estas aleaciones poseen grandes ventajas, en comparación con los medios convencionales de actuación; entre las que se encuentran el trabajo silencioso, su bajo peso en relación con su fuerza, su bajo volumen y su modo de actuación, muy similar al de los músculos reales. Se ha encontrado que son muy pocas las manos que simulan fielmente el funcionamiento de la mano. La complejidad de los sistemas demandados para lograr este tipo de estructuras anatómicas, han sido la mayor dificultad en este proceso. Tan solo algunas manos que usan métodos de actuación no convencionales han alcanzado características fundamentales para este tipo de dispositivos, como bajo peso y fácil manejo, que les permitirán en el futuro ser usadas para la aplicación protésica. Así mismo, hay que resaltar que son aun más escasos los trabajos en manos mecánicas que se han desarrollado en nuestro país, en donde las limitaciones para desarrollar sistemas como el que estamos proponiendo son más difíciles de realizar, y la documentación acerca de la biomecánica de la mano es escasa. El diseño de mano propuesto en este trabajo, presenta ventajas de alta destreza, bajo peso y simplicidad relativa. De esta manera esta mano propone bases para manos robóticas cada vez más ágiles y prótesis de manos que logren emular fielmente la mano humana.ABSTRACT: This project presents the design of a 20 degrees of freedom prototype model of a mechatronic hand. Currently, the prostheses available in the market, including the most advanced, only provide single-jointed grasping. Even though this system is very useful for amputees of the hand, it is still far away from emulating completely the human hand. Therefore, it is very important to develop projects related to the development of structures that would lead to the complete emulation of the human hand. In an effort to develop a dexterous mechatronic hand that could be used someday with humans it was necessary to use SMA (Shape Memory Alloys) materials as means of actuation. Those alloys provide enormous advantages compared to conventional means of actuation. Some of the advantages include silent performance, low weight-force ratio, low volume and its manner of actuation, which is very similar to actual muscles. It has been found that there are only a few hands that closely emulate hand functioning. System complexity required to achieve this type of anatomical structures, have been the biggest limitation in the process. Only some hands that use unconventional means of actuation have reached the most relevant characteristics required for this type of devices. Some of these are low weight and easy employment, which will allow them to be used as bases for future prostheses. In addition to this, it is important to outline that projects related to the development of mechanical hands in our country is still scarce. Locally, there are still a lot of limitations which make very difficult the development of systems like the ones that we are proposing. Some of the limitations are the lack of information related to hand biomechanics and unconventional jeans of actuation; there is also a lack of advantages for the acquiring of vias of actuation. The proposed design in this project, presents many advantages. It is highly dextereous,. It is low weight; and it possesses a simple mechanism. Because of these reasons, this hand proposes bases for more agile robot hands, and bases for hand prostheses that could closely emulate the human hand.PregradoIngeniero(a) Biomédico(a)application/pdfspaUniversidad EIAIngeniería BiomédicaEscuela de Ciencias de la VidaEnvigado, Antioquia, ColombiaDerechos Reservados - Universidad EIA, 2004https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessAtribución-NoComercial-SinDerivadas 4.0 Internacional (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0)http://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_abf2Diseño y construcción de un modelo de prototipo de mano mecatrónicaTrabajo de grado - Pregradoinfo:eu-repo/semantics/bachelorThesisinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionTexthttp://purl.org/coar/version/c_970fb48d4fbd8a85http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_7a1fPublicationTEXTGomezAlejandro_2004_DiseñoConstruccionModelo.pdf.txtGomezAlejandro_2004_DiseñoConstruccionModelo.pdf.txtExtracted texttext/plain238164https://repository.eia.edu.co/bitstreams/7b055ec2-74e8-4863-a1a1-e14ef56c3dda/download55deff93ceb7097dca38a6599873285aMD53THUMBNAILGomezAlejandro_2004_DiseñoConstruccionModelo.pdf.jpgGomezAlejandro_2004_DiseñoConstruccionModelo.pdf.jpgGenerated Thumbnailimage/jpeg4960https://repository.eia.edu.co/bitstreams/917305e1-a71c-45dd-801b-cd29c15b0b84/download058f3356c45829fc4868764e55cd1d7aMD54ORIGINALGomezAlejandro_2004_DiseñoConstruccionModelo.pdfGomezAlejandro_2004_DiseñoConstruccionModelo.pdfTrabajo de grado.application/pdf10373558https://repository.eia.edu.co/bitstreams/317e866e-ad2b-441e-af79-593fc6b1ec27/download9ebf9a54432c55afbc381ca94d070cbeMD51LICENSElicense.txtlicense.txttext/plain;
