Esta condición limita la capacidad de los pacientes para mantenerse de pie, por lo que las actividades de bipedestación se incluyen en los procesos de rehabilitación debido a los numerosos beneficios fisiológicos que proporcionan. Sin embargo, la bipedestación y movilización de pacientes suelen requerir de la intervención de varios profesionales de la salud, exponiéndolos a riesgos ergonómicos. Además, los dispositivos comerciales de bipedestación presentan limitaciones en términos de costo y espacio, lo que dificulta su implementación en hospitales. Este trabajo de grado plantea el diseño, construcción y evaluación de un prototipo de bipedestador para uso en entornos hospitalarios, asequible y capaz de reducir la necesidad de múltiples profesionales para movilizar a los pacientes. Para el desarrollo de este dispositivo, se recopilaron datos de profesionales de la salud del Hospital Pablo Tobón Uribe, con el fin de definir los requerimientos de usuario. A partir de esta información, se diseñó la estructura física y los circuitos de potencia, seguido de la construcción del prototipo y pruebas de concepto y de funcionalidad con personal experto. Los resultados de las pruebas de funcionamiento demostraron que el dispositivo cumple con los requisitos de movilización y bipedestación de paciente. Se recomienda la integración de sensores y ajustes estructurales y de control para mejorar la precisión, seguridad y adaptabilidad del bipedestador en entornos hospitalarios.ABSTRACT: Reduced mobility affects the ability of people to move freely, impacting not only their quality of life, but also representing a challenge for the medical staff responsible for their care. This condition limits the ability of patients to stand upright, so rehabilitation processes include standing activities due to the multiple physiological benefits they provide. However, standing and mobilization of patients often require the intervention of several healthcare professionals, exposing them to ergonomic risks. In addition, commercial standing devices have limitations in terms of cost and space, which makes their implementation in hospitals difficult. This work proposes the design, construction, and evaluation of a standing device prototype for use in hospital environments, which is affordable and helps reduce the need for multiple professionals to mobilize patients. To develop this device, data was collected with healthcare professionals from the Hospital Pablo Tobón Uribe to define user requirements. Based on this information, the physical structure and power circuits were designed, followed by the construction of the prototype and concept and functionality tests with expert staff. The results of the performance tests showed that the device meets the requirements for patient mobilization and standing.
