A lo largo de su existencia ha cambiado su razón social y su misión, pero siempre concentrándose en brindar bienestar y una mejor calidad de vida a niños de la calle. Actualmente cuenta con una capacidad de atención integral para 50 niños en sus dos hogares, en donde acogen y atienden a niños y adolescentes que por sus condiciones socio-familiares así lo requieren, y los acompañan en su proceso de crecimiento hasta lograr su adecuada adaptación a la sociedad. Adicionalmente, trabaja con sus familias para comprometerlas en el crecimiento y formación de sus hijos. Este excelente trabajo y ayuda no se ha podido extender como se quisiera debido a las restricciones de capital con las que tiene que enfrentarse día a día la Institución. Es por eso que para alcanzar un funcionamiento más adecuado y lograr una mayor cobertura, requieren de mayores recursos, los cuales obtiene a través de donaciones. Sin embargo, estos recursos son insuficientes, pues a pesar de la trayectoria de 30 años que tiene la Institución y de la excelente labor que realiza, no obtiene el suficiente apoyo de empresas o personas naturales, ya que la consideran muy pequeña y poco reconocida. Es así como buscando estrategias que permitan disponer de más dinero para invertir en los programas, surgió la inquietud de disminuir sus gastos uniendo sus fuerzas con otras entidades cuyo objeto social fuera similar y que a su vez se enfrentaran a similares restricciones de capital. Nació entonces la propuesta de realizar alianzas entre dichas instituciones que les permitiera optimizar sus procesos de compras en recursos de alimentación, aseo y vestido, pues en todas ellas las necesidades son bastante homogéneas. Durante el estudio se consultó y se investigó acerca de los procesos de compra, los proveedores y los distribuidores que utilizaban las entidades que se mostraron interesadas en participar, y por lo tanto, se incluyeron en la muestra. En los resultados obtenidos se identificaron patrones de consumo y frecuencia de compra en las siete entidades estudiadas. Al mismo tiempo, se identificaron posibles proveedores, destacándose Makro como uno de los más frecuentados y más benéficos para el proceso de compras de las Instituciones. Adicionalmente, se realizó un análisis de cómo podría implementarse la alianza teniendo en cuenta todos los integrantes de la cadena de abastecimiento de recursos, para luego evaluar la viabilidad de unificar las compras, desde un punto netamente económico. Finalmente, se obtuvieron conclusiones basadas en el análisis de información, que respaldaran las recomendaciones acerca de la selección de proveedores y la integración del proceso de compras entre las diferentes entidades estudiadas.ABSTRACT: Superarse is a private institution without profit interest, founded in 1970 as “Campaña del Millón Dormitorio Don Bosco”, in Medellín. Since its creation, it has changed its name and its mission, but it always has focused in guaranteeing a better life style to the children who have no home. Today, Superarse helps about 50 kids, in its two houses. There, they take care of children whose familiar problems forced them to go away of their homes; an they help them until they are ready to live by its own. Additionally, Superarse works with their families, looking forward to commit them with the learning and growing up process of their sons. This remarkable job is not as known as their wanted to, because of the capital resources restrictions that this institution has to deal with. Looking for a better way of operating that allows them to invest in education of much more children, Superarse has identified the need of optimizing their processes and diminishing their expenses by joining with other institutions that have the same restrictions and needs of capital and physical resources. During the present research, a lot of bibliographical investigation took place in order to identify the benefits of making alliances with other institutions and that way, joining them in the buying process. The results obtained by asking other institutions about their own buying process, interviewing with different sellers an comparing the benefits of buying with or without alliances, showed Makro as one of the most visited sellers, not only because of its diversity of products but because the low prices that offers to the buyers. Finally, the conclusions obtained are the result of an economic analysis that pretends to evaluate the benefits of a joined buying process in comparison with a non-joined one.
