Colombia, al ser un productor reconocido a nivel mundial y contar con exportaciones hacia diferentes países tiene diferentes oportunidades para emerger al mercado australiano con el café orgánico. En este documento, se llevan a cabo diferentes estudios para determinar la viabilidad de exportación de café orgánico colombiano hacia Australia. De esta manera, se realiza un estudio de mercado, en donde se determina el mercado objetivo con el fin de cuantificar la demanda, establecer el precio y analizar la comercialización del producto. Por otra parte, se desarrolla un estudio técnico, con el objetivo de determinar las inversiones y los costos respectivos del proyecto. Posteriormente, se ejecuta un estudio organizacional y legal para definir funciones administrativas y las normas para exportación. Además, se estructura el estudio financiero, con el fin de determinar la rentabilidad financiera del proyecto. Por último, se analizan tres flujos de caja, correspondientes a tres escenarios a partir de diferentes márgenes de ganancia y así comprobar la viabilidad financiera del proyecto. Para evaluar dichos escenarios se hace uso de distintos indicadores financieros, como la TIR, el VPN, el IR y el Payback o tiempo de retorno de la inversión.ABSTRACT: In recent years, the global coffee market has grown considerably, this is no exception in Australia, where coffee import rates, especially organic coffee, have increased over the years. Colombia, being a recognized producer worldwide and having exports to different countries, has different opportunities to emerge in the Australian market with organic coffee. In this document, different studies are carried out to determine the export viability of Colombian organic coffee to Australia. In this way, a market study is carried out, where the target market is determined in order to quantify the demand, establish the price and analyze the commercialization of the product. On the other hand, a technical study is developed, with the objective of determining the investments and costs of the project. Subsequently, an organizational and legal study is carried out to define administrative functions and export regulations. In addition, the financial study is structured, in order to determine the financial profitability of the project. Finally, three cash flows are analyzed, corresponding to three scenarios based on different profit margins in order to verify the financial viability of the project.
