Actualmente, existen impactos ambientales negativos debido a actividades antrópicas que se llevan a cabo en su entorno. Por ello, el presente trabajo tuvo como objetivo identificar los impactos ambientales que inciden sobre la calidad del agua del humedal y la quebrada Barbacoas, y, a partir de ello, proponer estrategias de manejo y mitigación de estos. De esta manera, se realizaron varias visitas de campo a lo largo del año 2022 para reconocer los contextos ambientales, sociales y económicos del lugar; así como para la toma y análisis de parámetros fisicoquímicos y microbiológicos. Adicionalmente se realizó una revisión bibliográfica y obtención de información primaria, por medio de encuestas y entrevistas a los actores que interactúan con el humedal. Se estableció que en algunos puntos del humedal la calidad del agua presenta un estado entre regular y deficiente, debido a la presencia de residuos sólidos en la fuente de agua, exceso de maleza, baja cobertura vegetal, especies invasoras, presencia de ganado vacuno y equino, entre otros. Posteriormente, se realizó un análisis de los impactos y amenazas presentes en el humedal y su origen. Con base en esto, se diseñó una serie de estrategias para los diferentes impactos identificados, por medio de fichas, las cuales incluyen planes de manejo y control y seguimiento de estas. En resumen, se plantea la implementación de monitoreo, reforestación, gestión de residuos, educación ambiental y mantenimiento de vías, que podrían aplicarse para disminuir y mitigar las afectaciones al humedal Barbacoas, y que tienen origen, principalmente, en las actividades agrícolas y domésticas de la comunidad cercana al humedal.ABSTRACT: the Barbacoas Wetland, an ecosystem cataloged as an Environmental Park, is an important natural area for the municipality of Marinilla thanks to the dynamics of drinking water supply, the presence of biodiversity and the cultural value it offers to the inhabitants of the municipality. Currently, there are negative environmental impacts due to anthropic activities that are carried out in its surroundings. For this reason, the present work aimed to identify the environmental impacts that affect the water quality of the wetland and the Barbacoas brook, and, based on this, propose management and mitigation strategies for these. In this way, several field visits were made throughout the year 2022 to recognize the environmental, social and economic contexts of the place, as well as for the taking and analysis of physicochemical and microbiological parameters. Additionally, a bibliographic review was carried out and primary information was obtained, through surveys and interviews with the actors that interact with the wetland. It was established that in some points of the wetland the quality of the water presents a state between regular and deficient, due to the presence of solid residues in the water source, excess weeds, low vegetation cover, invasive species, presence of cattle and horses, among others. Subsequently, an analysis of the impacts and threats present in the wetland and its origin was carried out. Based on this, a series of strategies were designed for the different impacts identified, by means of sheets, which include management and control plans and follow-up of these.
