El consumismo y la población mundial han aumentado exponencialmente agravando el problema de acumulación de residuos. Esto ha impulsado acuerdos internacionales, leyes y normativas que promuevan prácticas de disposición de residuos ambientalmente responsables como el reciclaje y reutilización. En Colombia se han implementado diversas medidas como la implementación del código de colores en los sistemas de separación de residuos, que han sido adoptados por varias universidades, incluida la Universidad EAN. El presente trabajo busca identificar el conocimiento que tiene la comunidad Eanista sobre este contexto y que tanto lo aplican, realizando una encuesta de conocimientos en practicas de reciclaje. Se evidencia que no hay una gran diferencia entre los resultados de los diferentes géneros, edades y años de vinculación con la universidad en cuanto el conocimiento y la aplicación de prácticas de reciclaje. Aunque gran porcentaje de las respuestas indican que la mayoría de las personas consideran el reciclaje muy importante, hay vacíos en el conocimiento de la implementación de estas. Es por esto que recomendamos fortalecer las campañas, programas y estrategias de reciclaje en la comunidad Eanista, específicamente en los temas separación de residuos y código de colores. |

This has promoted international agreements, laws and regulations that stimulate environmentally responsible waste disposal practices such as recycling and reuse. In Colombia, various measures have been implemented, such as the implementation of the color code in the waste classification systems, which have been adopted by several universities, including the EAN University. The present work aims to identify the knowledge that the EAN community has, about this context and how much they apply it, applying a survey of knowledge in recycling practices. There is not evident difference between the results of different genders, ages and years of relation with the university in terms of the knowledge and application of recycling practices. Although a large percentage of the responses indicate that most people consider recycling very important, there are gaps in the knowledge of the implementation of these.
