Analysis of the main problems in manufacturing small and medium enterprises in Bogotá

Academic and business sources point out as the main factors of the failure of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Colombia. 1. Business pride, 2. The difficulty of financial support from the government, 3. The family-business relationship and 4. The lack of strategic alliances. These factors are directly related to corporate insolvency. Therefore, this article will analyze these problems faced by SMEs in the manufacturing sector, located in the city of Bogotá, consulting different publications issued by expert sources on the subject in Colombia to establish strategies to mitigate the harmful effects of these factors on the survival of companies.
