Este trabajo presenta un estudio sobre la experiencia de aprendizaje de los estudiantes de la universidad EAN que interpretan un instrumento musical y estudian una segunda lengua. Para ello se implementó una metodología cualitativa y una entrevista semiestructurada como instrumento de investigación, posteriormente se aplicó a veinte estudiantes quienes narraron sus experiencias de aprendizaje sobre las dos actividades y procesos. Esos relatos se analizaron con un instrumento de análisis en torno a dos categorías, “el rol de la experiencia dentro del aprendizaje complementario” y “afinidad entre los métodos de aprendizaje lingüísticos y musicales”. Tras realizar dichas entrevistas y a través del análisis de datos se encontró que los dos procesos de aprendizaje pueden llegar a ser tan cercanos o no dependiendo de la experiencia de cada persona, pues podrán existir estrategias de aprendizaje que funcionan en ambas áreas, pero no es de gran ayuda para todos los individuos. |

For this purpose, a qualitative methodology and a semi-structured interview were implemented as a research instrument, which was applied to twenty students who narrated their learning experiences about the two activities and processes. These accounts were analyzed with an analysis instrument around two categories, "the role of experience within complementary learning" and "affinity between linguistic and musical learning methods". After conducting these interviews and through data analysis it was found that the two learning processes can be as close or not depending on the experience of each person, as there may be learning
