Description
Summary:This research was developed with the purpose of determining the current state of the application of corporate social responsibility models in SMEs in the city of Popayán (Colombia) between 2012 and 2015, for which 18 organizations of different types of eco-nomic activity were taken as the object of study. The study was carried out under a hermeneutic historical epistemological approach and the methodology used was of a qualitative type, from which is derived the application of interviews directed to the managers of these companies for the collection of information. The results showed that in the SMEs under study the true meaning of corporate social responsibility is not clear, and in addition to this the current state of the application of corporate social responsibility models is illusory due to ignorance of the different existing models and added to this can be observed the lack of commitment on the subject. Due to this, the organiza-tions carry out certain activities, which are taken as practices of corporate social responsibility and until now is not stipulated within the organization as a policy of social impact.
