Description
Summary:The purpose of this project is to strengthen the Integral Management of Solid Waste Generated in Health Care in the ASMEDIC-U infirmary of the Universidad de la Costa, it is expected to improve the current management of hazardous and non-hazardous waste generated there, in addition to strengthening existing programs, since some are outdated in terms of regulations; in this way, achieving compliance with the requirements demanded by the authorities of surveillance and control. In the research, a check was made of the activities carried out in the infirmary in terms of waste management, a documentary review was made to verify compliance with current environmental regulations on solid waste management, activities were defined for each stage of integrated waste management and indicators were established to verify compliance with the measures and strategies proposed throughout the document. Finally, it is expected that the nursing ASMEDIC-U of the Universidad de la Costa will continuously apply the recommendations generated in this project, in order to seek continuous improvement and comply with the requirements demanded by the surveillance and control authorities.
