Summary: | The thesis "School coexistence and its impact on the educational inclusion of students with disabilities at Juanchaco Educational Institution" focuses on analyzing the coexistence processes at the rural educational institution in the Valle del Cauca Pacific region, with special attention to 116 regular students and 11 children with disabilities in preschool and primary education. Enrollment in 2023 decreased by 22% due to public order issues, increasing the vulnerability of the population with disabilities. The main objective is to propose educational practices to improve school coexistence and inclusion. An introspective-experiential epistemological approach is used, along with a mixed methodology (qualitative/quantitative) including a survey administered to 20 managers and teachers, as well as a documentary review of student observations. The need for an educational project to address the lack of training and awareness of legislation on coexistence and inclusion is identified, resulting in the violation of the rights of a population subject to special protection. The importance of developing educational strategies that promote an inclusive and respectful school environment, ensuring the rights of all students, including those with disabilities, is emphasized. |
