Summary: | This research consists of explaining the relationship between the use of effective class time and school performance in the selected institutions; The methodology used was a non-experimental explanatory study, where a cross-sectional non-participatory observation was carried out, using the Stalling instrument, the data collected by means of a quantitative study was analyzed; In this research, it was found that the effective class time worked in the classroom by teachers had an average of 51% and a non-academic time of 49% in contrast to the average of 85% recommended by the OECD. A Certain homogeneity was observed in the three institutions in academic performance, at a basic level with an average of 3.4 grades; In the analysis of the spearman correlation statistical test, it was found that there is no significant linear correlation between the variables academic performance, represented in hours, and the effective use of time. It should be noted that this relationship is purely mathematical and therefore is free from any implication of cause and effect. School performance has multifactorial causes, time being one of them. |
