Description
Summary:Due to the importance of Logistics as a key process in any business activity that is essential to generate value to both the organization and the customer, it is recognized as an area that contributes to the generation of profitability through the correct management of the value chain. However, today the success of a company lies not only in increasing its income, but that these go outward, this means towards objectives of social responsibility and environmental sustainability. In order to reduce the impact that is generated on the environment new green practices that aim to aid in the conservation of the environment, this is called the green supply chain. This research aims to describe the process of the green supply chain of department stores in Barranquilla, Colombia. For which, an investigation of quantitative approach, descriptive scope, non-experimental transversal, field design was carried out, in which the primary information was collected through the application of a questionnaire, which results were statistically analyzed through software; which in turn provided evidence that it is a process that must be strengthened within these types of companies regardless of whether they are documented or the results of day-to-day spontaneous practices. This research aims to prove that the green supply chain of department stores in Barranquilla as it is today presents difficulties in planning some of its key activities.
