description Morphometric aspects, sexual ratio and reproductive activity of striped red snapper (L. synagris) in the Atlantic coastal zone were analyzed, based on the relationship between length and weight of the fish and weight of the gonad and reproductive indices. The coefficient of determination of the total length and total weight in females (R2=0.98) and in males (R2=0.91), gonad weight and total length in females (R2=0.73). indicating relationship between total length and total weight. Meanwhile, for males there was no relationship between gonad weight and total length (R2=0.49).
