Description
Summary:With the objective of proposing mediation strategies aimed at the mediation and resolution of conflicts in the classroom, this research was developed that was proposed as specific achievements: to characterize the strategies most used by teachers to solve conflicts that arise within the classroom, as well as to analyze if they are pertinent for an adequate mediation and analyze the attitudes that the teachers take to resolve the confrontations during the development of the classes. It was a mixed research that combined quantitative and qualitative techniques for consultation and analysis. It was developed in San Andres Island, in the Educational Institution Brooks Hill, consulted the teacher and took the action in the classroom, as an object of investigation. It was supported by previous studies and theories about mediation. It was concluded that teachers apply strategies such as reflective dialogue, development and analysis of cases, request for support from managers, remove students from the activity in the classroom. In the strategies applied, there is no evidence of being accompanied by a determined attitude to assume the conflict as an opportunity for mediation, since when they are questioned, in most aspects they respond that they sometimes carry out the pertinent actions and are irritated by problems. Among the strategies proposed to mediate in classroom conflicts are: reflective dialogue, cooperative work, information systematization, monitoring, development of communication skills.
