Description
Summary:The confinement generated by Covid 19 for more than two years, exposed not only the deficit of the infrastructure for the training of children and young people in the less favored areas of the planet, but also exposed, the role of the family nucleus in the effective development of the child's training and academic activities; hence, an investigation was carried out, whose general objective was to analyze the influence of family dynamics on the academic performance of fourth grade students of elementary school, in the educational institutions Antonio Ricaurte, Headquarters Las Americas and General Padilla main headquarters. The research was carried out under a qualitative approach methodology with a socio-critical paradigm. With a sampling of students, teachers and parents who operate as informants to reveal family, school and training process relationships through instruments such as: The semi-structured interview and focus groups. The results revealed that both students, parents and teachers attribute a meaning to the implications on education from their visions, expectations and meanings, they indicate that structurally they lack basic conditions to promote in their nuclei such training processes, since it is evident that in the region there is a strong deficit towards educational practices, the acquisition of resources, habits, time, and co-responsibilities, which constitutes an obstacle to success in learning for children.
