This is especially important in Cuba, where the residential sector accounts for 53% of the electricity consumption. However, domotic systems are costly, which is a limiting factor for their application. This study developed a low-cost domotic system for monitoring and control comfort, security, and energy consumption aspects in households. The system was implemented in a scaled household, with satisfactory results.
