Summary:In the process of the institutions’ educational management is evident the lack of information systems. Thus, the objective of this research is mainly aimed to design a proposal of the information management which based on the integration of new information and communication technologies (ICT) will contribute to strengthen the competencies that teachers and principals already have. Regarding the methodological level of the research, it was developed based on the rationalistic-deductive approach, the qualitative-quantitative paradigm and the deductive method. Furthermore, the project applied a field and documental in which we used different techniques such as documentary analysis, surveys and interviews in which we appeal to instruments like documentary analysis matrix, questionnaires and a script interview in order to facilitate the information gathering in the identified analysis units. In the obtained results it is evident the lack of an information system in the educational institution, the development of isolated processes to what is contemplated in the institutional educational project, the occasional usage of the new information and communication technologies, as well as the shortage of appropriate training and technological actualization for teachers and principals. One of the main conclusions is that the inclusion of the ICT in the educational management processes contributes to the educational quality, the optimizations of the processes and the strengthening of competencies technologies of human talent.
