Summary:The purpose of this research work was to design a proposal based on Traditional Music and Dance that contributes to the strengthening of School Coexistence in the students of the Teófilo Roberto Potes Commercial Technical Educational Institution District of Buenaventura, the same, included as theoretical support, Theory of conflict, subjective theory, and the theory of intelligences. The above accompanied by a mixed methodological approach, which integrated the qualitative, quantitative techniques and the main elements of both; where through the application of evaluative instruments such as surveys and interviews, valuable information was obtained that allowed validating that traditional music and dance can be used as a pedagogical strategy for the improvement of school life. As main results it was found that: Under the gaze of 100% of the interviewees of the school coexistence committee, traditional music and dance has the necessary elements to be considered as an ideal pedagogical strategy that contributes to the improvement of the school coexistence of the learners Regarding the surveys carried out on the 80 selected students as a population sample, 44% responded that, if they consider that traditional music and dance can contribute to the improvement of school life, in that sense, it could be concluded that, the present The research proposal has the feasibility required for its implementation, since it is welcomed by them.
