Description
Summary:The concept of nation-state means a sovereign territory organized by a political power exerted on a particular population. However, this definition has proven to be unfulfilled in Colombia because of the different civil conflicts, political division and political polarization. Regional integration treaties in Latin America, such as The Pacific Alliance, envision opportunities of development, economic progress as well as supranational consensus on peace and integration, with The European Union as a reference framework. Through the revision of documents, papers and other academic literature, this article aims to determinate the influence of supranational integration processes in Latin America, more specifically in Colombia since the liberal free-masonic implication.
