Description
Summary:This research aimed to analyze the pedagogical management developed by teachers of the music subject of official institutions of the District of Barranquilla, at the levels of basic secondary and vocational medium. This analysis is carried out in the light of the documents published to date by the Ministry of National Education for the area of Artistic Education and therefore for the music subject and the normative and theoretical references of pedagogical management and music education in Colombia. With the above, it was possible to characterize the management processes carried out by teachers at these levels and interpret the findings in the light of these theories. 13 music teachers from the same number of official institutions of the District of Barranquilla participated in the research; It was developed under the qualitative paradigm, with an interpretive descriptive design, using the interview as a data collection technique and the interview script as an instrument. Likewise, a content analysis was carried out on the official documents of the MEN, using an analysis matrix. The main result of this was the ignorance and lack of appropriation that exists by the majority of the teachers interviewed, managers and institutions, of the guidelines and orientations proposed by the MEN in relation to pedagogical management for the Art Education area, especially in the music subject. It is suggested to implement training and updating processes with regard to pedagogical management, seeking knowledge, appropriation and contextualization of what is proposed by the MEN, as well as the possibility of updating published documents.
