Summary:The Editorial Committee of the Journal Culture Education and Society, expresses a warm greeting of welcome to each of the invited members and participants in the framework of the 8th International Conference on Scientific Journals (CRECS, 2018), sponsored by the Information Professional , the Thinkepi Group and the University of the Coast, as the host venue during the days 2, 3 and 4 of May 2018 in the city of Barranquilla (Colombia). Additionally, the 8th International Conference on Scientific Journals (CRECS, 2018), has the support of different organizations such as: Scimago Lab, Clarivate Analytics, Dialnet Foundation of the University of La Rioja, Forum, Spanish Society of Ibero-American Communication Studies , Vivat Academia, BITECA, Journals & Authors, Springer Nature, ABEC Brazil, EC3metrics and Emeral Publishing. In this opportunity, the different topics will allow to analyze aspects related to the management of the scientific and editorial quality standards, in the context of the different international cooperation organizations and networks, oriented to the permanent growth of the levels of visibility and scientific impact of the Specialized magazines of Latin America. In this sense, the CRECS (2018) will be recognized as a strategic setting for the scientific and editorial cooperation of Ibero-American journals, establishing synergistic points around issues such as national systems for evaluating the scientific and editorial quality of journals, specialized processes of co-publication, dissemination, recognition, impact and visibility of journals, cooperation networks of research groups and specialized journals, innovation in digital platforms for the administration and edition of journals, analysis and implications derived from information systems Scientometrics, editorial policies and editorial management of good practices, among others.
