Summary: | The present investigation entitled "Soft Skills through Collaborative Learning in elementary school students" the objective of designing objective of the research was to create a teacher training program that would help primary school students at IED Gabriel García Márquez and IED Instituto Técnico de Comercio Barranquilla develop their soft skills through collaborative learning. To achieve this, we used aquantitative approach that involved collecting data from 90 teachers through surveys. Then, we analyzed the data using descriptive statistical analysis to generate detailed results. We organized the answers by dimensions and objectives. We compared the resulting data with information that supported the variables, in order to give answers to the questions and objectives raised in this study. The study revealed a connection between soft skills and collaborative learning, especially regarding pedagogical processes. The average score achieved was 1.44; indicating that fewer teachers associate soft skills with pedagogical events, while most use strategies for meaningful learning. Consequently, both institution's teachers need to create approaches that motivate students to participate in competence-oriented training, using a constructivist approach and embracing the critical social model advocated by these schools. |
