Summary: | This research aims to assess the essential variables that delineate the implementation of radiotherapy in the clinical pathway of breast cancer patients from Stages 0 to II. The evaluation focuses on a sample of 8602 patients collected by the SEER program from 2007 to 2012 in Atlanta. We developed a logistic regression model to measure the level of concordance for the occurrence of radiotherapy after lumpectomy surgery. We calculated the accuracy evaluation to estimate the model's pathway concordance measure. Our study determined that multiple factors, encompassing surgery type, age, cancer stage, and if radiotherapy was implemented as part of the first course of treatment combined with tumor grade and behavior, are essential for the decision to include radiotherapy in patients' clinical pathway after surgery. |
