Description
Summary:This in-depth project aims to promote well-being and quality of life in informal caregivers of people with dependent disabilities in the city of Monteria, the sample consists of 6 informal caregivers, with whom a focus group was conducted, with the intention of determining the appropriateness of the implementation of the program proposed by WHO (2020) facing plus problems, through psychological intervention of low intensity is intended to lessen the negative effects experienced in their daily lives. For the initial and final evaluation, the following instruments were used: psychlops, whodas 2.0 and the SRQ-30, using the JASP program for data analysis, initially revealing the affectation in their well-being, mental health and quality of life, as a product of the work of caring, after the intervention, the positive impact generated by the program could be evidenced through the implementation of each of the strategies suggested. Therefore, it is pertinent to suggest the continuity of projects and programs aimed at reducing the levels of overload and stress that fall on the caregiver, as well as the need to create public policies aimed at safeguarding the quality of life and dignity of this guild.
