Summary:The Research: school newspaper through ICT as a didactic strategy for communicative competences, arises from the analysis carried out at Institucion Educativa Distrital El Pueblo, located in the Barrio el Pueblo of the city of Barranquilla, where low reading and writing performance was evidenced in ninth grade students, affecting academic performance in different areas, in order to teach strategies through the school newspaper mediated by ICT to strengthen communication skills in students. It is important to highlight the relevance and relevance of this research since it proposes a pedagogical alternative that offers the identification of technological tools with an educational purpose and contextualized with the digital age. Therefore, it is consolidated as a significant strategy for students and, in turn, can contribute to the training practice of teachers in search of strategies that allow the consolidation of their pedagogical work. From the methodological point of view, the research was developed under the introspective - experiential approach, the qualitative paradigm and the descriptive - propositional type of research, in correlation with the proposed purposes, using as data collection techniques for the proposal, the interview and the documentary analysis, and as instruments for these, the interview script and the content analysis matrix. As the purpose of the research, the didactic proposal arises to design and elaborate a school newspaper mediated by ICT, to strengthen the communicative competences in students in all areas of knowledge.
