Description
Summary:One of the problems that over the years has been affecting the student population of Old Providence and Santa Catalina, has been the process of literacy, generating a poor level in the academic performance of the students, as well as the dropout of many. This difficulty has been reflected in the internal and external tests periodically applied to students, showing the urgent need to implement and revive the school of parents, as an immediate strategy to guide and support the Educational intermediation and the integration of the families in the strengthening of the literacy of the children of the Junín Educational Institution-IEJ. As a result of this problem, the need for this research entitled “Integration of the Parents into Didactic Mediation Processes for the Learning of Literacy in Elementary Students of the Junín Educational Institution” was born, in order to provide the necessary tools for parents to be able to support their children in the literacy process. In the same way, to include the community of teachers to enable the intermediation of parents in school activities and be able to provide advice and support to their children in an effective way. In this research, the principal actors (students, parents, and teachers) were surveyed, which results provided relevant information for the fulfillment of the objectives of this work.
