Summary: | There is consensus in current scientific research on the centrality of repetitive behaviors in ASD, however, there is no uniformity on the development of executive functions, particularly Inhibitory Control in ASD and on the relationship between both variables. Therefore, the purpose of this research was to analyze the possible relationship between Inhibitory Control and repetitive behaviors in children with a clinical diagnosis of level 1 autism spectrum disorder. The sample consisted of 18 boys and girls with a clinical diagnosis of level ASD. 1, in an age range between 4 and 11 years, residents of the city of Barranquilla and its metropolitan area. The research was quantitative and its scope was correlated, non-experimental, cross-sectional. The Pearson coefficient was used, through which it was found that the variables Repetitive behaviors and Inhibitory Control present a statistically significant negative relationship in boys and girls with ASD. |
