Description
Summary:The objective of this research was to design an intervention proposal for the strengthening ofmultiple intelligences, in order to enhance academic performance in the area of mathematics instudents of the Institución Educativa los Castillos, in the municipality of San Andrés deSotavento - Córdoba, in Colombia. This work was carried out under the positivist paradigm, witha quantitative approach and is cross-sectional. It has a sample made up of 26 estudents between10 and 13 years old, selected in a non-random and intentional way, which implies that it isdirected. A questionnaire designed from the ICFES 2015 primer was implemented, whichassesses mathematical knowledge, which contains a total of 20 questions, and the MultipleIntelligences test by Mckenzie, 1999, which indicates the levels of intelligences. In conclusion, students have potential in their intelligences, allowing them an excellent performance in theiracademic activities, however, the pedagogical strategies implemented may not generate theautonomy referenced above, which implies the need to propose new methodologies, in order tostrengthen academic performance in the area of mathematics
