Summary:The educational entities have the mission of contributing to strengthen the intellectual development of the student, however and in accordance with the provisions of the Political Constitution of Colombia and the General Law of Education, also train them in their behavior, therefore, in the present work of The research sought to analyze the prevention of bullying as a basis for coexistence in elementary school. This research work was carried out with fifth-grade students from the “Institución Educativa Rural María Auxiliadora” in the Andes district of “Guamal Magdalena, Colombia”, based on a mixed approach (quantitative-qualitative) and the descriptive-explanatory method, As a study instrument, a questionnaire was applied to the study subjects, with the prior consent of the parents. From the results where weaknesses are evidenced in the coexistence processes of the actors in the school, the proposal "Building Keys to Live Together" was designed, with which it is concluded and recommends that coexistence in schools should be a joint effort among the various educational agents, students and parents guided by the coexistence manual to train them towards a culture of peace.
