Summary: | The Comisión de Regulación de Energía y Gas, entity in charge of the regulation of public services of electric energy and gas in Colombia, presented a proposal for a change of regulation for the remuneration of the activity of transmission of electric energy, going from Resolution CREG 011 of 2009 to Resolution CREG 178 of 2014. This change has not yet been approved by the state, is currently in the process of resolution study. To be able to analyze the advantages that would be achieved from the approval of this new resolution, the present work has an objective to make a comparison of the change of methodology to remunerate the activity of electric energy transmission in Colombia, through the implementation of Resolution CREG 178 of 2014.
