The controlled and non probabilistic sample consists of 37 women from the city of Barranquilla categorized by socioeconomic layers of 1, 2, and 3 who were victims of physical, psychological, and/or sexual abuses during the period of December 2012-May 2013. Beck Anxiety Inventory – BAI is used in this study to measure and evaluate the levels of anxiety depending on the somatic, cognitive, and behavioral symptoms experienced during the last week. The results were tabulated using the SPSS program and indicate that the most common level of anxiety experience in the sample population is High Anxiety with a percentage of 43.2% and a frequency of 16 cases. Low and Moderate Anxiety levels indicate a percentage similarity of 27.0% and 29.7% respectively

Para ello se seleccionó de forma cuidadosa y controlada una muestra no probabilística de 37 mujeres pertenecientes a los estratos socioeconómicos 1, 2 y 3 de la ciudad de Barranquilla que fueron víctimas de agresiones físicas, psicológicas y/o sexuales durante el período de Diciembre de 2012 – Mayo de 2013. El instrumento de medición utilizado fue el Beck Anxiety Inventory –BAI, el cual es de fácil resolución y permite evaluar los niveles de Ansiedad Leve, Moderada y Severa en función de los síntomas somáticos, conductuales y cognitivos experimentados durante la última semana. Los resultados fueron tabulados a partir del programa SPSS e indican en un alcance generalque el nivel de ansiedad más frecuente en la totalidad de la muestra es el de Ansiedad Severa, representado en un 43,2% y con una frecuencia de 16 casos.
